MOVEMENT FOR DEMOCRATIC CHANGE ALLIANCE (MDCA) – NORTH AMERICA PROVINCE (NAP) PAYS TRIBUTE TO GOGO CHAMISA: THE LEGACY OF A MOTHER

On behalf of the MDCA-North America Province (NAP) we would like to pass our sincere condolences to our President Nelson Chamisa for the loss of his Mother, Mbuya & Gogo Chamisa. Nematambudziko. Langendubeko Langenkathazo ezibuhlungu kangaka. We pray that the Holy One of Israel gives you and your family divine strength, comfort, and peace in Jesus Christ’s Mighty Name. Amen. There are no words to describe the pain one suffers from a loss of a Mother, one who gave birth to you, reared you, and loved you sacrificially. Yet we depend on the One who created us all, the LORD of hosts whom Gogo Chamisa loved dearly, knowing that she is in the greatest Hands! Indeed, Gogo Chamisa has passed on to eternity, we know President Chamisa that you find comfort that she has passed onto a wonderful eternity, where her LORD and Savior has welcomed her into the beauty of holiness.
As MDCA-NAP, we admire Gogo Chamisa, we thank God for her, and for bringing up a servant leader for the people, a selfless leader of the people, and a leader who submits to the King of all earth, as a servant of the Kingdom of Heaven. Gogo Chamisa leaves a legacy to behold in a son who leads a people, a son who has made history, who is making history, and shall continue to make history. President Chamisa and family; please find comfort and strength in all the wisdom, love, and the legacy that Gogo Chamisa gave you as an inheritance, for what she gave you is priceless. Gogo Chamisa’s legacy to love God with all her being and leaving that inheritance to her children will permeate through the concourses of history, history books, and future generations.
We are reminded of King Alexandra the Great who conquered because of a powerful Mother. We are reminded of the First President of United States, George Washington’s words: “My mother was the most beautiful woman I ever saw. All I am I owe to my mother. I attribute all my success in life to the moral, intellectual and physical education I received from her.” We are reminded of President Abraham Lincoln’s words: “All that I am or ever hope to be, I owe to my angel Mother.” In the words of one of the world’s greatest inventors, one who invented the light bulb, Thomas A. Edison: “My mother was the making of me. She was so true, so sure of me; and I felt I had something to live for, someone I must not disappoint.” We are reminded of Picasso’s telling words: “My mother said to me, ‘If you become a soldier you’ll be a general; if you become a monk you’ll end up as the pope.’ Instead, I became a painter and wound up as Picasso!” We are reminded of King Shaka of the Zulu Kingdom and his Mother’s influence in molding him to be a phenomenal warrior! Indeed, Gogo Chamisa was the proverbial Proverbs 31 mother, one who introduces to the universe a Proverbs 31-man, leader, and king (Proverbs 31 v. 2 – 9). We are reminded indeed of this Proverbs 31 Mother who taught her son the duty of a king and said these words: “Open your mouth for the speechless, In the cause of all who are appointed to die. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.” (Proverbs 31 v. 8-9) As a leader of a people, a servant of God, and a son, please find strength in knowing Gogo Chamisa like the Proverb 31-Mother, prepared you for your purpose, she gave you the imperishable legacy of being a child of God Most High, who is fearless, courageous, righteous, and to be a wise advocate for the people. Gogo Chamisa prepared you for this season. And Zimbabwe is ready for God fearing leader like you.

We love you President!
